This year Molly and I entered pieces in the 74th annual Marin County Fair art show. It's a juried show with apparently around 3000 applicants, so we're very pleased to be included.
I entered my linocut print of Howard 'Louie Bluie' Armstong.
Here’s Molly with her current painting “Banjo Shaw” (a
portrait of Richard Shaw). (It was difficult to get a good shot of Molly and the painting. Below is another photo showing the entire piece with banjo neck).
I was very pleased to discover that my blockprint of the late blues master, Pinetop Perkins, won
an Honorable Mention award in printmaking.
