Recent paintings from Molly

I have just completed this commisioned double portrait, Norm and Marilee, for my closest friend Leah.  I have known her parents for a long time which makes it double nice to do a painting of such wonderful people.

Canary in a Cold Mind is my expression of the alarm I feel at the state we find the world in.  I wish I felt more optimistic, I have been having discussions with friends on how hate and fear seem to have been primary motivators since humans first communicated with each other.

On the other hand I do belive Mother Love is as strong as a Rhino!
